Franklin Pierce University seeks an experienced and dynamic nurse educator to lead its vibrant and evolving Department of Nursing Education Programs. The Director of Nursing is responsible for leadership of our R.N. to B.S. undergraduate program and recently launched M.S. in Nursing graduate program. Both programs are offered at Franklin Pierce centers in Portsmouth, Concord and Lebanon, New Hampshire. Future growth plans include the development of a doctoral program in nursing.

This position offers opportunities in program and curriculum development, student and faculty recruitment and retention, multi-disciplinary collaboration and state-wide networking and program promotion. Qualified candidates must possess a master's in nursing, and an earned doctorate degree as well as experience working with adult learners, grant writing knowledge, excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in a higher education setting is preferable; travel to all centers is required.

The successful candidate must hold a license to practice as a registered nurse in New Hampshire and  possess a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field or be a doctoral candidate at the time of application.  This individual must demonstrate the characteristics needed for success in a management/leadership position, and must possess significant knowledge in budget management.
